Manasa Kuteera is the flagship community service project of Rotary Mysore Midtown, established to provide quality education, rehabilitation, and day-care facilities for children with developmental disabilities, including autism and intellectual disabilities. Built with the vision of creating a safe, inclusive, and professionally managed environment, the project represents one of Rotary Mysore Midtown’s most significant contributions to community development.

The House of Edits documented the facility, its infrastructure, learning spaces, rehabilitation environment, and the inspiring stories behind the initiative. The production focused on presenting the project’s purpose, Rotary’s commitment to community service, and the transformative impact of Manasa Kuteera through authentic and emotionally engaging visual storytelling.

Project Overview

Recognizing the growing need for dedicated infrastructure for special children in and around Mysuru, Rotary Mysore Midtown conceptualized Manasa Kuteera as a purpose-built institution that offers education, therapy, care, and rehabilitation under one roof.

The project was developed on a one-acre civic amenity site allotted by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and culminated in the construction of a modern 7,875 sq. ft. facility dedicated to serving children with special needs. The institution was officially inaugurated on April 1, 2024, marking a significant milestone in Rotary’s long-standing commitment to inclusive community service.

Objective

The objective was to create a compelling documentary-style film that showcased the vision behind Manasa Kuteera, highlighted Rotary Mysore Midtown’s service initiatives, and documented the positive impact the institution is creating for children with special needs and their families.
